Peace agreement text initialled between Azerbaijan and Armenia
On 8 August 2025, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the United States, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialled the text of the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.”

In addition, the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia submitted a joint appeal to the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE concerning the closure of the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures, including the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office on the conflict dealt with by the Minsk Conference and the High-Level Planning Group.
Following the submission of the joint appeal, a draft decision of the OSCE Ministerial Council on the closure of these structures was circulated among OSCE participating States, which were invited to support the necessary procedures for its adoption.
