Australia-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Established to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

On March 18, 2024, an Australia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group was
established at the Federal Parliament of Australia, comprising 9 senators and 14
congressmen.
Dr. Mike Freelander, a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP), and Mr. Rick
Wilson, a member of the Liberal Party, serve as co-chairs of the group. This
friendship group plays a crucial role in developing cooperation and bilateral relations
between the legislative authorities of Australia and Azerbaijan.
The Australia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group is dedicated to
promoting joint activities aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries
in political, economic, and cultural domains.
