"Ali and Nino" premiered in Australia as part of “Azerbaijani movie night”
The film Ali and Nino, produced by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the
Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was featured in a series of screenings across
Australia. This event, titled "Azerbaijani Movie Night," took place in
Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The screenings were organized with
the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Australia and the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation.
The Sydney premiere of Ali and Nino saw a diverse audience, including
local community members, diplomats, and the Azerbaijani expatriate
community residing in Australia. This event not only highlighted the film
but also fostered cultural exchange and strengthened ties between
Azerbaijan and Australia. The film, based on the acclaimed novel by
Kurban Said, explores themes of love and cultural conflict, providing an
opportunity for Australian audiences to engage with Azerbaijani cinema
and heritage.
