Australian Leaders Congratulate Azerbaijan on Independence Day, Highlighting Support for COP29 Hosting

Dr. Mike Freelander, Chairman, and Mr. Rick Wilson, Deputy Chairman, delivered speeches congratulating Azerbaijan on its Independence Day. Reflecting on their participation in the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum held in Azerbaijan from May 1-3 this year, they highlighted Azerbaijan's increasingly positive role in the region and globally. Dr. Sally Box, the head of the Australian delegation to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), served as the key speaker at the event, which was attended by senators, congressmen, state officials, and heads of diplomatic missions. Dr. Box expressed her belief that Azerbaijan will successfully host COP29 and affirmed Australia's support for Azerbaijan in this significant endeavor.
